This week I headed to Paris to present for La Redoute at their spring summer 2015 press day. It’s always a whirlwind trip and you never know what to expect until the day, but that’s what makes it so fun!
Having met the crew, we headed to Rue d’Urzes. A new gallery location hosting the press event for the first time and was the perfect backdrop for La Redoute’s collections.
Overall, the collections were varied but ticked all the boxes for next seasons trends whilst looking effortlessly stylish and chic.
For the first time next season, La Redoute’s own brands (Laura Clement, Mademoiselle R & Soft Grey) had collaborated with known brands. The city work wear label Laura Clement had a signature bag designed by Avril Gau, the boho/rock label Soft Grey had a bag designed by French blogger Punky B, and the vintage label Mademoiselle R had exclusive floral prints by the famous Liberty of London. The blouse of which I wore whilst presenting.
Each season, La Redoute also have guest designers and for SS15 there are four.
Prisienne label Polder created by 2x Dutch sisters, Brigitte Bardot inspired by the iconic singer & actress, Sezane a French feminine label with a tomboy edge and Jeanne Damas, the famous model and style icon who’s collection reflects her own effortless signature style. I managed to interview both Sezane & Jeanne Damas & both were every bit as lovely as they were talented.
After a busy shoot and successful press day, I hightailed it across Paris to the Eurostar and back to London.
