Showcased at the Freemasons Hall, Gt Queen St, London on 15th Feb 2013
Since Krystof ‘s graduation in 2007 he has already had his collection showcased in Harrods, had celebrities such as Cheryl Cole wearing his garments and has had articles featured in Vogue UK, Russia & Italy, as well as Elle UK & US. He is a designer making big waves & I was excited to see his collection myself for A/W13 at London Fashion week.
For A/W, Krystof has taken inspiration from the colours and textures of the creatures in the ocean. So there was various shades of green, grey, burgundy & black which I’m predicting will be some of the key colours next season.
But one of Krystof’s trademarks is abstract prints & these kaleidoscope prints looked divine on the catwalk in bodycon shapes that not only flattered the figure, but gave just enough print to hint at the trend, whilst keeping the garments sophisticated and beautifully flattering.
Krystof is also known for statement cuts & this season it was combined with beautiful detailing on the neckline and by the use of zips down the back of the garments. There was also an olive dress with rounded shoulders that we are seeing as another trend emerging from the catwalk by other designers such as Victoria Beckham, Gucci & Lacoste.
I was in awe at this collection as it ticked all the boxes for me.
